Public school registration Aug. 20
East Otero School District will host central registration for all La Junta public schools on Wednesday, Aug. 20.
Registration will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the La Junta High School gym, 1817 Smithland Ave.
All students in all grades and schools will register at that location and time.
Registration forms are available on the district's website at www.lajuntaschools.org. School officials remind people that having these forms completed prior to registration will save time. Student ID photos for junior/senior high school students will be taken at registration.
Registration packets for new students are now available at each of the school buildings. New students need to provide immunization records and a birth certificate.
The first day of school for La Junta Junior/Senior High School students, grades seventh through 12th, will be on Tuesday, Aug. 26. Students at La Junta Intermediate School and La Junta Primary School will start on Wednesday, Aug. 27.
